The Finals are the one series casual viewers turn up for, and also the one locked behind the tightest door: in the United States every game runs on ABC and nowhere else. No cable login, no live-TV package, no game. NBABite puts the whole best-of-seven on one page instead, free, with several working sources per game.
Getting to a Finals game here
- Open the series fixture from the schedule on the home page.
- Pick a source — the cleanest feed sits at the top of the list.
- If it stutters in the fourth quarter, drop to the next one; there are spares behind it.
Why the Finals are harder to watch than the rest of the season
Through the regular season, games are scattered across ESPN, TNT, NBA TV and a pile of regional networks — annoying, but there is usually some route in. The Finals collapse all of that into a single national broadcaster, which means the one series everybody wants is the one with the fewest legitimate options. That is the gap this page fills.
Seven games, and how the series changes shape
A Finals series is not one contest repeated seven times. Coaches watch film between games and adjust — switching a defender onto the other team's best scorer, hunting a weak defender in pick-and-roll, shortening the rotation to seven players who can be trusted in June. A series that looks settled after two games regularly turns on a single change made before the third, which is why the middle games are often more interesting than the opener.
What home court is actually worth
The team with the better regular-season record hosts Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 under the 2-2-1-1-1 format. That matters most at the end: a Game 7 at home has historically been won far more often than not, which is why the regular season people ignore in November decides where a championship is settled in June.
How long a Finals game actually takes
Forty-eight minutes of clock runs closer to two and a half hours in real time, and longer if it is close — timeouts multiply in the final two minutes, and overtime adds five more. Tip-off is usually around 20:30 Eastern, which puts the closing minutes past midnight on the American east coast and into the early hours across Europe.
Before the Finals: the road that gets there
Nothing starts in June. The play-in decides the last two seeds in each conference, then four rounds of best-of-seven whittle the field down. Every round is listed free here — see the NBA playoffs live stream page for the full postseason, or follow one club through its own team page from the logo strip on the home page.
